Zao and LetterGen

The ZAO Group focuses on both private persons and enterprises. Operating from three different offices, ZAO serves clients in the entire Benelux. ZAO relies on LetterGen to take care of its internal and external communication. LetterGen allows ZAO to communicate with its clients through a broad range of channels: mail, newsletters, documents and insurance policies.

Fast and flawless accident reporting

ZAO uses LetterSketch and LetterGen for the design and printing of personalized adhesive labels for accident forms. These labels contain the information that normally has to be filled in manually by the policyholder. A copy of the insurance document is printed on the back. The only thing that ZAO-clients have to take care of in case of a car accident is to stick such a preprinted label on the accident form. 100% correct data results in flawless reporting and better service.

Improved database

The LetterGen implementation has also challenged ZAO to revise its database. Redundant data has been removed and lacking information was added. ZAO monitors closely the consistency of the new information input.

Close and personal communication

LetterGen allows ZAO to improve its customized client communication even better. Information on reserves and bonuses, mandatory government certificates, schedules for group insurances, etc.: from now on ZAO can use LetterGen to easily organize intensive client communication in a personal and effective way.

Four pillars in financial services

Today, the ZAO Group holding consists of four different companies, each of which representing a part of the broad range of services: ZAO Finance (banking products and loans, a branch of Landbouwkrediet), ZAO Investments (financial products for asset management and group insurances), ZAO Insurance (general insurances including all kinds of risks, for both private persons and enterprises), and Xyrus (claims management for fleets with more than 100 cars).

History

The ZAO Group was established in 1995, but to know its roots, we have to go back to 1956. At that time, Frans Pelckmans founded Asuli bvba. Soon, this private market oriented insurance agency became a reference in the Lier-Antwerp area. In 1984 current manager Wim Pelckmans succeeds his father as president of the enterprise. The agency grows further and gains an important number of new clients, both private customers and new businesses. In 1989 ZAO merged with the brokerage group DEM, part of the AXA group. In 1995 Wim Pelckmans decides to continue as an independent broker. The name ZAO was born.

Diversification and continuous growth

Despite a volatile economic climate, ZAO had a continuous and stable growth. Thanks to modernizing initiatives, smart acquisitions and the drive of a dynamic and flexible team, ZAO became a flourishing business counting 25 staff members, with offices in Lier, Herentals and Itterbeek. ZAO also managed to diversify its services. Next to the expansion of its insurance department, ZAO gained a solid reputation as an investment consultant and asset manager. Since a couple of years ZAO even manages its own branch for Landbouwkrediet.
